 Who we are

Literacy Volunteers of Laredo teaches people how to read and speak English

Literacy Volunteers of Laredo is a volunteer- based adult reading and English language program.

Literacy Volunteers of Laredo recruits and trains volunteer tutors who are matched with adults wanting to improve their basic literacy skills.

Literacy Volunteers of Laredo tutors help with reading, writing, comprehension, speaking, spelling, job preparedness and survival skills training at no cost to adult students.

Tutoring takes place in public places, primarily libraries throughout Laredo and Webb County.
